Reviewer’s Thoughts
The King, follows a lot of the same timeline of The Saint, but instead follows right along with Kingsley Edge, and his interesting and colorful life. I already adored Kingsley, and getting to see an all the more human side of him, just reinforced that love. He is a unique character, not one that I think can ever be duplicated with even a fraction of the talent that Ms. Reisz put forth in his creation. Soren will always be my first love, but Kingsley is easily a new favorite.
There was less sex scenes then I imagined when I imagined Kingsleyโs book, but somehow it still works. I really liked the addition of some great characters, and felt every emotion right along with Kingsley. I felt every betrayal and every triumph, I really wish I had seen his BDSM club in action. Iโm at a disadvantage of others because I havenโt read the other series with these great characters yet, and while I said The Saint could be read as a stand alone, I feel like The King shouldnโt be read without at least reading The Saint.
I do definitely recommend this story, I enjoyed it and fans of Tiffany Reisz will enjoy this next installment.
