Reviewer’s Thoughts

This is definitely not your typical historical romance. Morag Cameron is a very independent woman and acts on her yearning for sexual fulfillment.  Unfortunately, she trusts the wrong men and is banished from her village.   She survived on her own until she spotted a badly beaten man one night.  She drags him back to her bothy.  That man is Wulf MacCurran.  She nurses him back to health.  However, much of his memory is still lost.  The only thing clear is his need for vengeance.

I liked that Morag was a survivor.  She didn’t dwell on her past.  She accepted what happened and moved on with her life.  I particularly enjoyed the interaction between her and Wulf.  The author made it seem like they were an old married couple.  They bickered and did things that the other person didn’t understand.  However, they worked it out.  It was evident from the beginning of the story that there were strong feelings between the two of them.  Wulf was an amazing man.  He was a great warrior and sensitive enough to be the first to say I love you.  He was handsome, honorable, and honest.  I felt immediately vested in their characters.

The storyline was eventful and full of twists and turns.  There were moments when I laughed out loud or shook my head and thought….men while reading this story.  The author did an excellent job of showing both the male and female perspectives throughout the story.  I was obsessed with finishing their story to find out if everything worked out.  The author did an exceptional job of describing the events that occurred during the times when Wulf had to fight with his sword.  Throughout the story the reader is able to see the devotion of Morag to Wulf.  The reader is able to experience the obstacles that had to be overcome so that Wulf and Morag could be a couple.

I enjoyed reading the story, and I am definitely adding this author to my list of favorites.
