Review: Under the Master – Vanessa Devereaux

Mia and Ian made the perfect match. However, Ian’s been keeping something from his wife. He has a fantasy, which has Mia being pleasured by another man. When a woman’s scream breaks the silence of the evening, and Mia and Ian see a mystery man fleeing from an adjoining garden, Ian suggests that Mia go and assist him in finding an escape route.

Neither she nor Ian count on this man being a rake, a thief, and hiding jewels and a map on Mia’s body as he seduces her. Ian knows he has found the perfect man for his plan. With a little persuasion or even blackmail, he could be persuaded to accept their offer.

Simon Duvall has a few secrets of his own, one being his specialty is ménage a trois. Soon the couple learns he knows all sorts of tricks about pleasuring a woman and a bedroom suited for doing just that.

There is another mystery to him as well, including secret meetings and being called away suddenly. Whatever and whoever he turns out to be is of no consequence for Mia, who quickly learns what it is like to be under the Master.

Under the Master by Vanessa Devereaux was a fast paced historical erotica novella that had me devouring the book as soon as I started. I was unable to put this one down. The book is HOT!. The Duke and Duchess of Winslow having a kinky but loving relationship. The needs of the Duke is something that many woman would dream about. The Duchess succumbing to her husbands desires is more than understandable. The writing pulls you in and makes you want to hear more about the Duke and Duchess and the mysterious Simon Duvall. If you want something quick and HOT to read then I recommend getting Under the Master by Vanessa Deveraux. The plot was intriguing and there was an interesting twist at the end making the book even better. I loved how Vanessa was able to bring you into the time period with her writing and her description of the characters. The only complaint that I have is that I want more and that is what an author should do is leave the reader wanting more. Vanessa Devereaux succeeded!
