Author Interview: Exposed Ecstasy – Houston Havens

We have Houston Havens with us today chatting about her release Exposed Ecstasy.  Please help me in welcoming Houston to Cocktails and Books.

Tell us about yourself.        

I started modeling at ten and made that a career until I was forty at which time I decided to settle down and study the craft of writing. It’s all self taught. Spent over fifteen years perfecting the art of storytelling (which comes pretty naturally being that I’m Irish and we’re known for being the storytellers) until I submitted my very first erotic romance Sinful Surrender. It was accepted and the rest is history.

What three things about you might surprise your readers?

1)  I love science 

2) I eat only organic foods

3) I write books for both females and males readers to enjoy. They can read it alone or they can read it together and enjoy the ‘after effects’ *wink*

Is there a genre(s) that you think “I might like to write one of those.”?

Huuummm, this is a hard question. This series covers over 10 Genre’s already…doesn’t leave much to pick from. I pretty much write them all.

Tell us about Exposed Ecstasy?

Exposed Ecstasy is the third book in the Psychic Menage series of seven books. It deals with the Star Riders’ world and my reluctant hero Faerydae.  It’s about a man discovering who he really is and allowing himself to give in to love (and hot sizzling sex of course *wink*). It’s about friendships being tested and about trust, but most of all it’s about TRUE LOVE.

Where did the idea for the storyline come from?

It’s kind of a spin off on a straight romance I wrote called ‘A Lover’s Paradox’ and that came from my love of Science, History and my concerns of what is happening today in our world and how it will affect our future.

What I wasn’t allowed to keep in the books was my author notes to the readers…which explained that HAARP, ORGONE, AND TORSION FIELDS are REAL…I did not create these and they are being used today.

If you go to my Pinterest you will see pictures of government entry points to an UNDERWORLD they have built with our tax dollars…and supply trucks have been seen going into these tunnels.

THE PLOT OF MY STORY is made up…but you can see where it might not be too far off from a future we could all face if our leadership got into the wrong hands.

What do you think readers will like/love about Faerydae,Tessla and Shomar?

Besides the fact they are HOT and sexy, they are strong willed but suffer with the same doubts and fears we do. They come off the pages as real people we can love….and like the other two books before it (Sinful Surrender and Phantom Desire), they are characters you will remember and think about while waiting for the next book in the series to come out.

I write stories that are believable with characters that come alive and heroes (male and female) the reader will dream about.

What was your favorite scene from the book?

Oh gosh…I loved the scene when Faerydae comes to Tessla’s rescue for the second time. She gets lost on the Space Station and is found by two Alpha Male Star Riders who are about to claim her as theirs when Faerydae shows up…and boy what a scene!

Who are some of your book boyfriends?  What draws you to them?

Book One – Sinful Surrender it was Drakker…He was a tough guy with a soft center just trying to survive…and he was soooo seductive!

Book two – Phantom Desire it was Nikias he was just soooo sweet and fun.

Book three – Exposed Ecstasy of course was Faerydae…because he’s a bad boy and there’s still so much left to discover about him and his life.

Book four – Intimate Betrayal…has to be…OH I’m sorry, I can’t tell you because it hasn’t been released yet…hummmm, guess you have to wait for this one. *wink* 

If you had to pick a favorite cocktail of choice, what would it be?  (It can be non-alcoholic too)

Mimosa – made with Champagne of course, not white wine.

What’s next for you?

After this series is done there is a spin off series to follow…it takes place in the Fae World, then once that series is done I have the third series planned that will return to the first series’ world where the Fae war with the humans and some of these characters  that you’ve fallen in love with will show up again.
