Reviewer’s Thoughts

I absolutely adored this story. The heroine has a B-52 full of emotional issues, but it took a hot Brit pilot to prove to her what was worth living for.

Tinklee (I will confess, I did not like the heroine’s name.  Poor thing) should have been living her dream.  Instead, she was haunted by the death of her brother as she entered flight school for the plane she always wanted to fly.  She was a mess and was fairly broken as she got ready for her first day, but she was determined to press forward.  That determination didn’t always make Tink a very likable person.  She could be bitchy and would often times close herself off.  Luckily for her, the guys in her class and one hot British flight instructor will do whatever it takes to get the real Tinklee to come out.

I loved Locke.  I love how Tink and he met.  And how despite the amount of trouble the two of them could get into, he was still determined to be with Tink.  Without her saying much, Locke knew what she needed.  When she needed a push, when she needed a reality check or when she just needed a sounding board.

It’s a military romance, so there is a bit of intrigue with a squirmish overseas and the entire class being deployed.  I truly enjoyed this part of the book because it displayed who Tink was, despite the grief she let hold her down.  She’s a leader and she proved that she was not going to leave a man behind…even if that meant facing her own fears to get him back.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I went into this story, but I can out the other side a huge fan.  I loved it.  I loved the characters, the storyline and devoured this book in one sitting.  If you’re looking for an introduction to military romance, this would be a great one to start with.  It’s definitely a favorite of mine.
