“Fireworks at the Lake” is a very nice little story, and I mean little.Β I read it in 15 minutes or so, but there was a lot going on in those few pages.
It’s basically short, sweet, and to the point.Β Boy meets boy on the beach on the Fourth of July.Β They hit it off very well and spend the day together, and fireworks erupt in more ways than one when it gets dark.Β I enjoyed the way the men interacted.Β There was an ease and chemistry right away.Β The beach/small island setting is perfectlΒ It’s fun and romantic with an almost old time feel.
I’m new to Berengaria Brown’s work, and I’ve enjoyed everything that I’ve read.Β If you have a little time to spare (perfect for doctor’s office waiting rooms or a bus ride), and you want a sweet and sexy manlove read, “Fireworks at the Lake” is for you.
