Reviewer’s Thoughts
A happy ending that was well deserved for these two people.
Cameron Mitchell gets his girl and Jo Walsh gets her guy. And they both get their HEA.
It seemed poor Cameron could never catch a break. After a failed marriage and the loss of his first born he felt that he didnβt deserve anyoneβs love. Especially the love of the girl he has known since he was 12 yrs old.Β Cameronβs past was so heartbreaking. The pain he still feels from the past is what is keeping him from admitting his love for Jo.
Jo Walsh has known Cameron since her family took him in as a foster child. She has loved him from afar for over 17 yrs. Her love for him knows no bounds. I loved her character. She is strong and she told it like it is. Once she got tired and of push and pull that Cameron was doing with her emotions she laid on the line for him. Either step up or let me move on. He stepped up.
I love how the Kennedy Ryan wrote about Cameronβs struggle. It felt real. It didnβt feel like a story filler just to put in there to make the book more interesting.Β And Jo. She is just what he needed to get him to admit he needed help. This was a fitting end to this series. And it was a great series.
