These days his life revolves around three things: music, his bandmates, and hot hookups. Until one woman changes everything . . .Β Kiera is the kind of girl Kellan has no business wanting-smart, sweet, and dating his best friend. Certain he could never be worthy of her love, he hides his growing attraction . . . until Kiera’s own tormented heart hints that his feelings might not be one-sided. Now, no matter the consequences, Kellan is sure of one thing-he won’t let Kiera go without a fight.

Reviewer’s Thoughts
Engrossing, heart breaking, and just all around sadness.
This being a highly anticipated release and the thought that I was finally going to be inside Kellanβs head had me all a tingle. I was really nervous. Someone asked me if I was going to read the series again in anticipation for this release. I said no, only because I really didnβt like the character of Keira. I wanted to go in fresh and see Keira through Kellanβs eyes. Maybe I would see something through his story that I didnβt see with her telling the story. Well, it didnβt work. I fell in love with Kellan all over again. He is sweet, caring and lonely. Yes I know that his participation wasnβt innocent, but he never knew love and the love he found with Keira was something he did not want to go without.Β If anything I came out disliking Keria even more after reading Thoughtful. I think Kellan deserves better. There I said it.
I have read a lot of books that dealt with love triangles. But never have I come away with actually thinking that the book hero would be better off alone. If anything, there have been books that I actually rooted for the heroine to break off with her boyfriend to be with the βother manβ.Β Not in this case.
So all in all Iβd have to say that yes. I loved Thoughtful, I just fell in love with Kellan more and my hatred for Keira just intensified. If that is what S.C Stephens was going for, bingo. She nailed it.
1. If THOUGHTFUL was being made into a movie, who would you include in your dream cast?Β
Iβve grown to love Devin Paisley as Kellan. He definitely has the right look. Iβm not sure about the others, except Denny. Heβs always been Craig Horner to me.
2.Β What are five books on your night stand?Β
Silver Shadows by Richelle Mead. The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan. Love, in English by Karina Halle. The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black. The Bet by Rachel Van Dyken.Β
3.Β What can you tell us about your Kellan and Kiera, that we won’t find in the book?Β
The current ending to Thoughtless is not the original ending. The first ending was far more tragic, and I liked it, but didnβt love it. After the initial reviews came out and fans felt the same way, I thought of ways to change it.
4.Β Is there one thing you have to have when writing?Β
Coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.
5. Whatβs next for you and the series?Β
Griffinβs book is coming out later this fall, and then Iβm taking a break from the D-Bags crew. Iβm not sure how long of a break that will be, since they always seem to draw me back in, but I do have new, really fun projects Iβm working on.
