HR director Vivian Tremaine spent ten years of her twelve-year marriage waiting for her ex-husband to be released from prison, only to have him ask her for a divorce. She finally gets together with Luke Henderson, her long-time friend next door, the same week she agrees to go out with Dr. Preston Benson, the new chief trauma surgeon at Sin Hospital that she hired.
Luke’s wife and infant son were killed by a drunk driver years ago, and he’s been half in love with Vivian all his life. He waited too long after her divorce to ask her out, and now he might lose her to the new doc in town.
Preston has a secret he hopes stays behind in Chicago. But Vivian knows it, and she goes out with him anyway. As he comes to realize if he wants her, he has to share her with Luke, his secret is uncovered and his job is threatened.
Kenna’s Thoughts
I am so excited about this book and the whole upcoming series! There are so many awesome things that can happen in a hospital setting. I know this from personal experience. I grew up around doctors and nurses, and there was always something going on. Sin Hospital may be fictional, but there is just a few kernels of truth in there, I guarantee it.
“There’s a New Sin in Town” focuses on Vivian Tremaine, the director of HR at Sin Hospital, Dr. Preston Benson, the new head trauma surgeon (that Vivian hired), and Luke Henderson, Vivian’s next door neighbor, “the one who got away”. I really liked these characters. They fit together very nicely. The men couldn’t be more different, but they both want Vivian, and she wants both of them. So, what should they do? Form one of the sexiest menages I’ve read about in a good while.
Vivian’s had it rough the past ll years. Preston had problems in a Chicago hospital, and that’s why he’s in Sin, and Luke went through a terrible tragedy. They are all somewhat damaged, but together they become strong. It wasn’t easy, of course. I’m trying very hard not to give anything important away. The story speaks for itself, and you really should read it. Let me just say that their relationship faces a real struggle, and the fledgling triad must learn to communicate to make it work.
“There’s a New Sin in Town” is so sexy. A lot of heat to be had here. Three words…hot tub scene. WOW! Tara Rose is well known for her BDSM stories. Most of them are pretty hard core, but what I liked about this one is that there was only some barehanded spankings and some simple wood paddlings. Now, I absolutely LOVE hardcore BDSM, but this was a very pleasant departure from Ms. Rose’s norm. It fit the the characters perfectly, and I did come away with a suspicion that Vivian, Luke, and Preston will be exploring the world of pleasure and pain in the future.
This book was so enjoyable. I couldn’t make myself put it down, but that’s ok because, even though I was tired the next day, I was completely satisfied. I am going to highly recommend this one. I know…I always recommend Tara Rose’s books, but this one really spoke to me, and I think everyone should pick it up. Get in on the ground floor of what promises to be an awesome series.
