Tao Pack Tracker, Alanna Kemp possesses the rare gift of mind control. She allows nothing to stand in her way of keeping the existence of shifters a secret from humansβuntil she meets a sexy human doctor who stirs emotions long buried and puts her Wolf on a lethal edge.
Bastian Storm wants to start a new life in a new place where no one knows about his failures as a doctor. But when his past catches up to him, threatening the life of an innocent, he must place his trust in the hands of a woman with a deadly secret in order to save more lives than his own.
Iris’ Thoughts
The latest in the Black Hills Wolves series, Tempting the Wolf is brought to us by bestselling author Lia Davis and pits the Tao pack tracker Ailanna up against emergency room doctor Sebastian Storm when Ailannaβs son is rushed to the hospital with a gunshot wound. The sparks ignite from the moment these twoβs eyes meet for the first time. The problem?Β Doctor Storm is very much human with no knowledge of shifters or that they even exist.
Davisβs pattern of always giving us a strong heroine we can connect with is why she has become one of my favorite go to authors. If I am to be completely honest about the book, and I always am, I did find several grammatical errors, which were luckily only limited to the span of two pages. This however did nothing to dampen my enjoyment of the book. The main characters had a short but believable interaction that led to their relationship. None of this βHey, you didnβt know shifters existed, but Iβm a wolf and youβre my make, now letβs go at it like rabbits because my impulse tells me we should.β Davis built in disbelief, distrust and the very human need to think things through before making a decision into her story. I enjoyed it so much; I literally devoured Temping the Wolf within a couple of hours.
Tempting the Wolf is my opinion is a great addition to the Black Hills Wolves series and not to be missed.
