This is an author that I love, but CnB reviewer Felicia is with us today to share why author Heather C. Leigh is her Top Shelf Favorite Author.
How did you discover Heather Leigh?
I had been eyeing the book for awhile I thought the cover for the Famous Series was very cool; and then when I read the synopsis for the first book I was definitely drawn in and had to read the series. I am also one of those people who is a sucker for a continuous series with the same main characters.
What is it about this author and their books that have your coming back for more?
There are a few things – first is Heather is very good writing about different genres. A set of books based in New York about a movie star (Famous Series), a set of books based in London about a rock band (Sphere of Irony), or a set of books set in Atlanta (Ricochet) they all feel so real and I appreciate that. Like I said before I love a good series and Heather does a great job with that as well as showing her character handling different issues like PTSD, abuse and low self esteem. It makes her characters feel real and don’t feel cookie cutter perfect. They are real and flawed.
What’s your favorite book of Heather Leigh’s? Β Why?
Already Famous – book 4 in the Famous Series. I don’t mind books taking place in first person but for some reason I really enjoy when you see the story from the man’s side. To me it’s good to see why he reacts the way he does in situations especially the hero in the Famous Series Drew, which book 4 is Drew’s POV. Drew is an Alpha male and I wanted to have a better understanding as to why, which you can’t get from the female side of the story. While I knew what was going to happen from the first books in the series I really enjoyed Drew’s POV.
Books by Heather Leigh
The Famous Series
Sphere of Irony
Ricochet
I’m the author of the Amazon best selling Famous series. I like to write about the ‘dark’ side of fame. The part that the public doesn’t get to see, how difficult it is to live in a fishbowl and how that affects relationships.
I was born and raised in New England and currently live outside Atlanta, GA.
I love the Red Sox, the Patriots, and anything made of chocolate (but not white chocolate, that doesn’t count).
My favorite authors are Dan Wells, Tina Reber, Ken Follett, and Stephen King.
