How did you discover Taylor Brooks?

Once I discovered that I enjoyed reading MM erotica, I just started poking around the Siren/Bookstrand website. Taylor had a book on the Alternative Bestseller list. I clicked that book, and bought it. Then, I started reading the descriptions of her other stories, and bought one or three more 🙂 I really enjoyed them. After that, I found several of them on Manic Readers, and I wanted other people to enjoy her writing as much as I did, so I reviewed them. I have never been disappointed.

What is it about this author and their books that have your coming back for more?

Even though the books are pretty short, Taylor manages to pack a lot into them. There is full character development and detailed locations, whether is Southern California or Montana, and lots of places in between. The plots are interesting, and the background characters are always an integral part of the story. They’re not just filler. Oh, and they are SEXY! Taylor really knows how to write a sex scene. However, no matter how sexy, there is always tender romance involved. It’s not sex for sex’s sake.

What’s your favorite book of Taylor Brooks’?  Why?

I’m not going to pick one favorite book here. I’m going with a whole series. The “Rocky Mountain Manhunt’ series is so good (and now available in a box set). There are five books, and while there is an individual plot in each one, there is an underlying plot that crosses through all five. I don’t feel I’m giving anything away when I say that there is a dangerous evil in the wilds of Montana, and with each story, the reader is able to follow along until the conclusion. It’s mysterious and intriguing, and has a LOT of action involved.
If I were forced to pick one out of the five, I would say that “Tempting Talon” is it. Talon and Jace are perfect for each other. They balance each other out . They’re smart, sweet, HOT, and just all around perfect. They make my tummy flutter…in such a good way 🙂

Taylor Brooks first fell in love with writing when she penned her first book for Siren Publishing, Take Me. She’s also an avid reader and finds herself drawn to the stories told of gay lovers, and thinks that the passion told in such stories can be absolutely beautiful. This might also explain why her genre of choice for her writing is GLBT.

In addition to her Sultry SoCal series, Taylor just recently wrapped up her Rocky Mountain Manhunt Series which offers a suspenseful twist to the hunt for two serial killers.
