Secrets and liesβ€”the legacy of Dylan Walker’s existence. Ashamed of his status as a bastard son, Dylan found solace and a sense of identity as the lead bass guitarist for Truckstop Pickup. But with one phone call, his world is shaken to its core. Summoned to Kansas after the death of his father, Dylan discovers he has three brothers he knew nothing about. Reeling from that earth-shattering revelation, he figures life can’t throw him a bigger curveball. Until fate puts him face-to-face with the woman his heart refuses to forget...and her little boy. Who just happens to bear a striking resemblance to Dylan.

Never love a musician. That’s always been Zoe Chapman’s number one motto. Daughter of a legendary country star, she knew that truth better than anyone. Then she’d met Dylan. He’d stripped her of her defenses, and she’d fallen. Hard. Now he’s back in her world. A living, breathing, too-sinful-for-words personification of everything she’s ever wanted. And can never have. Only Dylan is dead set on becoming a permanent fixture in their son's life. Determined to make her part of the package deal, he works at breaking down her walls again, and her resistance is slipping faster than her panties.

But there’s another secret Zoe’s hiding. And it could end up pushing Dylan away from her forever.

This is the first book in The Sons of Dusty Walker series and each of the four books in this series is written by a different author. This story centers on Dylan the youngest of Dusty’s sons. Dylan is surprised and hurt when he discovers there are many things his father kept hidden from him and he doesn’t understand why he never was told he had three half brothers. Β Dylan’s whole world is turned upside down with the news and it takes him a while to adjust.Β  As he spends a week in his father’s small town, he starts to reevaluate his attitude about his father and his own life.Β  While Dylan is staying at father’s house to meet the requirements of the will, he runs into Zoe, a girl he knew four years ago.Β  Dylan can’t believe his good luck at seeing Zoe again. Β He has thought of her often in the last few years and is glad to have a chance to spend time with her. Β Zoe is surprised to see Dylan and nervous because she has secrets she hasn’t shared with him.Β  Zoe loves spending time with Dylan, but she also worries he will break her heart if she lets down her guard.Β  She has been hurt before and is afraid to trust anyone.Β  Dylan and Zoe have a deep connection and they find it impossible to resist each other.Β  They have an explosive chemistry and things get steamy whenever they are together. Β Dylan stole my heart with the way he treats Zoe. He isn’t afraid to show her he cares about her and is thoughtful and romantic. Β This is an engaging story about a second chance at love and I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in this series
