Radiology tech Miranda Creighton is on call when Bo Sawyer is brought into Sin Hospital with a leg injury he sustained while installing an AC unit. After he and long-time friend Davis Thompson, an ER physician, reveal to Miranda they made a wager that she wouldnβt go out with Bo on a date, Miranda surprises the two by entering into a passionate relationship with both men.
Bo and Miranda were betrayed by their ex-spouses, but each is finally ready to take a chance on love again. Davis has always had a thing for Miranda, and is happy to share her with Bo.
But the trioβs happily-ever-after is threatened when Mirandaβs ex-husband and Boβs ex-wife come to town for the murder trial of an influential preacher. Not only are Mirandaβs and Boβs exes determined to lie to save the preacher from a conviction, they are also hell bent on tearing the three apart.
“No Ordinary Sin” is the third installment of the Sin Hospital series, and, boy is it a good one!Β I’m pretty sure that I mentioned in the reviews ofΒ the first two books (“There’s a New Sin in Town” and “A Touch of Sin”) that I grew up in a hospital environment.Β Both of my parents were nurses, so IΒ spent a lot of time around hospital people.Β I was even a candystriper (can you imagine??) for a few years, so I know the sorts of things that go onΒ that the patients and their families can’t see. Tara Rose captures all that and more.
Miranda is a radiology tech at Sin Hospital alongside Davis, an ER doctor.Β He’s always had a little thing for Miranda, but he’s never acted on it. Β Enter Bo, Davis’ friend, who is seriously injured while installing an air conditioning unit.Β Bo is (rather unfortunately) tied to Miranda in that theirΒ spouses cheated on them with each other and left Sin, Tennessee.Β Bo would like to date Miranda as well.Β Through an amusing exchange at the hospital,Β it is decided that the three of them will get together, just to see where everything goes.
It goes VERY well πΒ What follows is an extremely hot and sexy rollercoaster of a relationship.Β There is a lot of love and passion, and it was justΒ awesome.Β There was also quite a bit of what can only be described as creativity going on.Β After all, Bo is pretty injured, and nobody wanted him toΒ have to have another surgery to repair any damage done during anything especially…acrobatic.Β Hehe.Β The chemistry between the three is amazing.
Right from the very beginning, you can feel it.Β They’ve all known each other for a long time, and Bo and Davis are close enough that sharing MirandaΒ isn’t odd or uncomfortable, and Miranda is perfectly comfortable with her attraction and affection toward the men.
While the triad is front and center in the story, there is a lot of intrigue to be had.Β The background plot is well thought out and written.Β It isΒ interesting and held my interest from beginning to end.Β I love the strenghth Bo, Davis, and Miranda have.Β No matter what is going on, and even thoughΒ they have a stake in it, they stay focused on the most important thing…their friendship and love for one another.Β Here is where I mention that thisΒ is an MFM story, so there is no touching between the men, but they are very close.
I suppose “No Ordinary Sin” could be read as a standalone.Β Tara does a good job of summing up the everything that has gone on since the beginning ofΒ the series, but I would recommend that you start at the beginning with “There’s a New Sin in Town”.Β Not just because it’s the first, but because it andΒ “A Touch of Sin” are excellent books in their own right.Β All of the residents of Sin, Tennessee are great character, and I think you’ll enjoy them veryΒ much.Β Great story.Β Great series.
