Review: Wicked West by Stormy Glenn

Love!  Love!!  Love!!!
For quite awhile now, I’ve stayed away from dragon shifters.  I guess I didn’t find them to be very…believable (as if wolves, lions, panthers, bears, and the like ARE).  I have no idea what got into me.  “Wicked West” is the second dragon shifter book I’ve read in one week, and it’s awesome!

Another thing that I love that it’s a triad story.  TWo men who have been together for 50 years, suddenly faced with a king’s order to bring in a third…a human…are glad that they won’t be taken apart, but they’re unsure what will happen now that they are forced to take another into their bed.  It’s all so that Prince Kinstantin’s shifter clutch can unite with Prince Grigory’s clan.  Mikhail begin his time with the Prince as his manservant, but soon became his lover and soulmate.  Relieved when the king elevates Mikhail to princly status, he and Konstantin are thrilled that this means that they’ll actually be able to finally be able to be “mates”.  Meanwhile, Prince Grigory isn’t exactly sure where he’s going to fit into this relationship.  He realizes that the other two men are so in love with each other and wants to be included but is afraid that they’ll never accept them as anything but the man who was forced upon them.  Soon, it’s obvious that isn’t true.  It was wonderful to watch them all come together in the mating bond (and the ritual was extremely hot).  It may seem rather quick, but it’s alright.  It fits within the story.  The chemistry between the three is electric. I was reading this as I was wating to get my hair cut.  I had to put my Kindle back in my purse because I started to heat up enough that I thought people might notice.  THe sex scenes were exquisitely written…no flowery language, just passion.

There is also quite a bit of action and mystery surrounding the clutch and clan in their new castle keep.  I don’t want to give it away because it’s very exciting to read.  PLUS there is an interesting little twist that is a rather sweet and made me smile.  I just discovered that this is the fourth in the “King’s Command” series.  I can obviously be read as a stand alone because I didn’t feel lost or confused.  I was able to just dive right into the book and run with it.  Of course, now that I know that there are three others, I’m going to rush out and get them.

I’ve been reading some really awesome books lately, and I’ve declared a few of them to be my favorites of 2015.  “Wicked West” now joins the ranks.  It’s just an all around awesome story.
