Chase the Darkness, the latest installment in JD Tylerβs Alpha Pack Series features wolf shifter Micah and coyote shifter Jacee. Micah was introduced in a previous book in the series, and he has always been a sympathetic hero, having been held captive and tortured for several months. Although some of the information about Micah is in the previous books you should be able to read this book without having read the rest of the series with no problems, but reading the other books would be beneficial in addition to the fact itβs a good paranormal series.
This is probably one of my favorite books of the series. To watch Micahβs struggles was heartbreaking, but it showed a depth that I truly appreciated. Jacee was a good compliment to Micah, able to balance out some of the demons he continued to fight from his earlier captivity. As usual there was plenty of suspense and the continuation of their work at the compound as well as other information about the underlying subplot thatβs been present in the other books.
