Always in the shadow of his over-achieving brothers, youngest brother Ryder fell in love with rodeos as a teenager and soon became the most successful bull and Bronco rider in the state. The ultimate playboy, Ryder likes to party hard, and he often makes bad decisions… including gambling. He's so used to winning that he doesn't hesitate to up the stakes one night, betting more than he can handle—his third of the King Ranch.
Chloe has seen Ryder on the rodeo scene, but she's also noticed him at the bar where she works. She's trying to work to save enough to put herself through college—she completed two years before she had to bail her dad out of a bad debt—losing all her savings in the process. Her father gambled all her life, and she had it tough as a kid, but the one thing she does know how to do is play—and win—at any kind of card game. When she finds Ryder in trouble, she makes him an offer—she will win his ranch back, if he pays her college fees and promises to walk away from gambling, for good. But while she's winning back Ryder's cash, what she doesn't count on is winning his heart.

Somebody grab my fan and an ice cold glass of water because this book is on FIYAH!!!!!! I think I loved everything about this book.  I’m anxiously waiting for the next book in the series.

Chloe Rivers is my kind of heroine.  She’s smart, high-spirited, and has a big heart.  Ryder King is all alpha male until he lets his machismo outweigh his good sense and loses his ranch while gambling.  Fortunately for Ryder Chloe happens to be an excellent poker player, and she is willing to help him win his ranch back before his family finds out.  At the end of the deal Chloe will have tuition paid at her law school and Ryder will have his ranch and the two will part ways never to meet again.  Or at least that’s the way it should have been, but love has a way of changing even the hardest of hearts.

I almost cried when Chloe had to deal with her father.  I cheered when Ryder stood up for her.  I pleaded with Chloe not to leave Ryder.  Then I pleaded with Ryder to go after Chloe. So I was definitely drawn into the story.  I read the entire story in one sitting because I had to make sure that they ended up together.  I love the steamy “throw caution to the wind and let’s worry about tomorrow when it gets here” type of romances.  This one exceeded all of my expectations.

The characters were well developed.  The author allowed the reader to see the strengths and flaws of each character.  The other characters in the book like Ryder’s brothers and Chloe’s friend added depth to the storyline, and it really made me feel like this story was real.  I can’t wait to read more about them in upcoming books.  This author is now in my must read category, and she’ll be in yours too after reading this book.
