When a mysterious text message summons May Wexler to a biker bar in downtown New Orleans, she knows something is very wrong. Her sister has sent out an SOS, but when May gets there, sheβs nowhere to be found and May is the one in troubleβsheβs wearing pink espadrilles, sheβs got a Chihuahua in her purse, and sheβs in the middle of a shootout.
After tall, muscular Ozzie comes to her rescue, May has no choice but to follow him to safety. At the headquarters of his private security firm, the Bourbon Street Boys, she finds a refuge for the nightβand the offer of a job. But itβs not long before a gun-toting stalker isnβt the only complication in Mayβs life: the more time she spends with Ozzie, the less she can deny that theyβve got some serious chemistry. A wrong number got her into this messβ¦Will it also get her the right guy?

In this book the character May Wexler is your typical struggling photographer, living paycheck to paycheck, working hard, paying bills and making time for her older sister Jennifer andΒ her three adorable pain in the butt kids.Β Their relationship as sisters makes this story comical and sets up the story as they will always be there for each other even when it doesnβt make sense; such as May receiving a text message from an unknown number and thinking itβs her sister asking her to meet at a biker bar called Frankies.Β I donβt understand why May would think her sister would ask her to meet her and the kids at a place like that but as she arrives looking for her sister and Β she immediately feels out of place and very confused when she canβt find them anywhere. Shots are fired and May is whisked away by a big bearded man who scares her but at the same time makes her feel safe.Β She follows this guy to his place of business and he disappears only to reappear as a clean shaven hunk of a man named Ozzie.Β Ozzie is not thrilled that May is there because she jeopardized his undercover sting yet canβt get away from the attraction he has with her and wants to keep her safe.
Its obvious there is chemistry between the two and itβs a quick fun read. I wish we could of learned more about Ozzie and what makes him who he is but overall it was a good book and a fast read; which is making me look forward to Book 2 of this series.
