I lent my heart to the bad boy, and he did exactly what I expected he would. He broke it.
And the guy I should have been withβheβs still here. He tries to take my mind off everything Iβve lost while showing me what I could have. Iβm ready for a new start, to fall in love again β¦ to do what I should have done in the first place.
Everything seems perfect.
Then the past comes walking back in. I thought I was over him, but one look and I know thatβs not true. We went through too much together for those feelings to completely fade away.
When my past and present collide, how am I supposed to choose? They both love me, and I love them.
A heart will be broken β¦ and it could be mine.

Blake redeemed himself. I didn’t think it was possible, but Lisa De Jong made me want Lila and Blake back together.
At the end of LIES UNSPOKEN Blake had left Lila and pretty much broken her. Β When we catch up with Lila in LOVE UNSPOKEN, it’s six months later and it looks likes she’s managed to turn her life around designing like she’s wanted in Pierce’s firm and finally moving on from Blake. Β But you know that status quo can’t stay, because we need that angst and for Lila’s world to once again turn upside town.
I understand Lila being torn between the guy who’s helped her pick up the pieces versus the guy that make her fall apart. Β She found herself in the impossible position of trying to move on while being reminded of how the other one made her feel. Β I didn’t envy Lila or the choices she had to make, but sometimes I wondered if she didn’t keep putting herself in impossible positions with one or the other. Β And it was during those times that I found myself frustrated with Lila.
In the end, Lila made a decision that was right for her. Β Did someone get their heart broken? Β Yes. Β But I think it was easy to see the choice she made as the one that was best for everyone.
