By the award winning and bestselling author Natasza Waters, comes an epic contemporary love story of imperfect romance.
Mika rents a quaint cottage on a seaside estate. With a group of amazing friends and her disease in remission, sheβs happy. In a world spellbound by beauty, she hides the scars of her disorder beneath baggy clothes. Perched on the cliff, her mysterious landlord lives alone in a stately glass house, although his home is transparent, thereβs no penetrating the blue abyss of Cainβs eyes or the coldness of the striking man who disappears for days at a time.
Women are Cainβs business. The fantasy he sells has made him a wealthy but empty man. Within a short time, heβs lured by Mikaβs beguiling spirit. When life cracks its whip at her, heβs there to catch her. Discovering her secret, he teaches her passion, but itβs her love he desires, not her flesh. To keep her, heβll have to confess his past sins and convince her that beauty is more than skin deep. (Dedicated to the millions of people who are unique, not flawed, by Psoriasis and other skin diseases.)

I first want to say wow, it has been a while since a book not only blew me away but I couldnβt predict the twist and turns and His Perfect Imperfection did both and then some.
This is a story about Mika a young women who is living a full and active life at least as much as she can.Β She is surrounded by great friends (all of course are happy and married or dating) has a wonderful sister and a nephew and a loving mom.Β She is though hiding from the world, she feels at times like a monster and doesnβt believe that romance and happily ever after is in her future.Β She has a horrible disease that comes and goes sometimes it feels like at will and while she is good now β it could come back at anytime and she is sure no one will want her then.
Cain is young rich and is hiding his own demons and scars they are just not visible to the outside world.Β He lives alone with his dog Breeze and doesnβt believe that romance and happily ever after is in his future.Β Cain has a cottage on his property that he would like to rent out and Mika whose roommate is now living with her fiancΓ© needs a new place to live and thatβs where the story starts.
I absolutely loved how this story played out from beginning to end.Β Cain and Mika really become best friends, while there is a huge attraction between them neither one wants to rock the boat and take it to the next level each for their own reasons (which of course neither knows about).Β Β Β When they do tell each other their demons nothing still happens, the level of trust continues to grow so when they do fall into each other the pay off was brilliant.
This is the first book I have read of Natasza Waters and her writing style is fantastic.Β The way she handles the dual POVβs (which I know I have said in my other reviews, I absolutely love), the dialog between the 2 main characters β Mikaβs wit and Cainβs charm and the way she lets the story develop, not rushing the big love scene was all done brilliantly.Β As the reader I did not feel short changed during the process of reading the story and I appreciated that.Β Β Β There are a lot of twists and turns throughout the book and I honestly did not catch any;Β I felt like I was living the story through Cain and Mikaβs eyes so when something happened it really did surprise me and that is rare again a testament to great writing.
I can go on and on and I donβt want to give anything away; this was a story I wanted to continue to read so when it was over I felt it.Β Its also a story that I will think about for a long time and re-read just so I can visit these characters again.Β If you are looking for a well written story about demons, friendship and of course romance β this is definitely the book for you.
