The New York Times bestselling author of On Dublin Street returns to the bar where it all began with Braden and Joss for a white-hot new novella full of passion and drama.
When heβs not working at the club, Craig Lanaghan looks out for his mother and little sisters. So when it comes to women, all he wants is a good time. But once Rain Alexander walks into his life, thereβs no denying that this woman could be worth much more than a one-night standβ¦.
Rainβs lifelong regret is having left her sister Darcy alone years ago with a guardian who turned out to be abusive. So when Darcyβs boyfriend publicly humiliates her in a cruel way, Rainβs overprotective instincts kick in and she follows him to Club 39βwhere she meets a guy who just might be her perfect match.
The chemistry between Rain and Craig is explosive, but Rain is out for revenge, and refuses to be sidetracked by flirtation. As things between them heat up, sheβll have to make a heartbreaking choice between giving in to the man of her dreams or putting her sisterβs happiness firstβ¦.

I first have to say I am a HUGE Dublin Street fan.Β I have read all the books in the series and loved the progression of the story.Β I am happy to say this novella doesnβt disappoint.
This is a story of Craig a bartender we met in Dublin Street when he hit on Joss at Club 39.Β He is a full fledge player and he is ok with that.Β Rain has a style all her own, she is looking for revenge on behalf of her sister and when she walks into Craigβs bar Craigβs whole world turns upside down.Β Rain is not looking for love in any way shape or form and does everything she can to stay away from Craig and stick to her mission of correcting the wrong done to her sister.Β She also knows Craigβs reputation and she has very specific beliefs on how she wants a man to treat her and from what she can see Craig is not that man.Β Craig is intrigued by Rain and the more he gets to know her he begins to figure out that Rain could be the one for him.Β
This novella was so much fun.Β It takes place after Dublin St so for those who are familiar with the series will definitely be happy with the cameos by Braden/Joss, Ellie/Adam and Jo.Β It was fun to see them way back when.Β That being said this is definitely Craig and Rainβs story.Β The dialog is fantastic as per what we come to expect with Samantha Young.Β The story is told in dual POVβs β Rainβs in first person and Craigβs in third person.Β If I had one issue its β while I love dual POVβs it took some getting use to the dual POVβs in this manner.Β This being a novella Samantha moves through the story quickly but the story is not short on exposition or the character development of the 2 main characters.Β She packs a lot in a shorter format and its well done.Β
There are also quite a few secondary characters that we have not meet yet in the original series that I am hoping she is looking to explore more.Β I loved how the story ended and it maybe a good launching point for more, maybe???Β I would be up for it.
Β If you are looking for another great story from Samantha Young then this novella will not disappoint.Β It was fun to go back and revisit and meet the new characters we have come to love.Β
