When Sela Chavez inspects the unit in a strip mall that will soon become her very own dance studio, sheโ€™s on the cusp of a dream come true. Until she spies Damien Rivera, her brotherโ€™s boss. She knows heโ€™s financing the project, and she knows heโ€™s a player.

When he invites her to a concert, she canโ€™t seem to look away from his gaze. But gorgeous eyes or not, she has no intention of becoming Damienโ€™s next conquest.

Damien is part of a group of friends financing the efforts to put a stop to The Madeline Project. The program now has a mind of its own, thanks to a virus called Tommy Twister. These men have power, resources, and money, but theyโ€™re as ruthless and possessive as the storms ravaging Earth.

They call themselves the Weathermenโ€ฆ

Ravenna Tate’s “Weathermen” series is fast becoming an all time favorite of mine.ย  It has everything I love…action, intrigue, a well researched andย interesting plot, romance, and on top of all that, the sex is pretty hot too ๐Ÿ™‚

This is the part when I give a rundown of the series.ย  In the future, a computer program is developed to help lessen the effects of catastrophic storms.ย ย The research was going well, but of course, there is always someone who can’t leave well enough alone.ย  A group of hackers uploaded a virus into theย program causing the world’s weather to go haywire.ย  There are storms that wipe out 85% of the world’s population.ย  The survivors move underground intoย cities that were built during a nuclear crisis several years before.ย  There is a group of wealthy men who have been friends since college, and they’veย banded together to, not only find the hackers, but to also try to reverse the damage done by the virus and make the earth habitable again.ย  They callย themselves the Weathermen.

In the fifth installment, “A Slow Burning Dance”, we have Sela, a dancer who is opening her own studio in a strip mall owned by Damien.ย  He’s one of theย Weathermen, and he’s also her brother’s boss.ย  Sela’s not too crazy about Damien, though.ย  Six years ago, she was a naive 19 year old young woman whoย wanted Damien, but he never really gave her much thought.ย  He is quite a bit older than her.ย  She’s carried a grudge against him since.ย  When they meetย again at the construction site, he doesn’t really recognize her until he gets a good look at her.ย  He’s instantly smitten, but she’s not so sure.ย  Heย asks her out, but she’s reluctant until he apologizes for what happened all those years ago…and sends her delightful naitive flowers.ย  That’s whenย **I** fell in love with him.

The story really takes off from there.ย  Their relationship moves on quickly.ย  They fall for each other right away, and they begin sleeping together. ย Well…there’s not much sleeping going on.ย  Heh.ย  They fit together perfectly.ย  Their chemistry is off the charts.ย  One word…berries.ย  Anyway, alongย with their personal imtimacy, there is an underlying story involving Damien’s company and those of some of the other Weathermen.ย  Slowly, we’re gettingย clues as to who the hackers are and what they’re trying to accomplish.ย  I love how pieces are starting to fall into place, and how Ms. Tate is almostย teasing us with these hints.

I wish I could tell you everything, but I don’t want to deprive you of the experience.ย  I don’t recommend that you read “A Slow Burning Dance” as aย stand alone.ย  Start at the beginning with “Appetite for Blackmail” and go from there.ย  Surround yourself with it.ย  It really is fascinating.ย  Sure, theย love stories are awesome, and as I mentioned, the sex is amazing.ย  However, it’s obvious that Ravenna Tate has researched the weather and all that isย involved with computer programs and viruses.ย  I’m VERY impressed.

Definitely check out this series.ย  You won’t be sorry.

About Ravenna Tate

Ravenna Tate lives in the Midwest where itโ€™s cold six months out of the year, but inside her stories youโ€™ll find plenty of heat. The sex is hot, the men are alpha, and the women give them a run for their money.
