I really liked book 1 of this series – Madame X. I loved book 2 Exposed! I am going to try and keep this review spoiler free as much as possible.
Book 2 takes place right where book 1 leaves off. Madame X has gone back to Caleb and she is changing, it’s not good enough to be Madame X anymore. When Logan comes back to her with information on who she really is and what happened to her all those years ago things start moving rapidly from there.
There are so many things to love about this book. Told from Madame X’s POV it’s fantastic what Jasinda Wilder does – when X is talking about or to Caleb she refers to him as You throughout the book. When X is referring to or thinking about Logan it’s always with his name. Brilliantly done throughout and as the reader, you have an understanding of what X is really feeling for each man in her life even before she realizes it. It’s the same technique as in book 1 but I think with more emphasis this time around since X does spend more time with Logan. As X starts to change the writing gets richer and there is more exposition almost as if she is seeing things for the first time so the journey she goes on is one you feel as well. The relationships and dialog between all the characters is so well written and honest from X’s POV that again you get it. It takes a very skilled writer to be able to pull this off flawlessly and Jasinda Wilder is up for the challenge and then some.
I don’t want to say much else (don’t want to give anything away and boy do I want to), if you have read the first book this is a must read. If you have not started the series please pick up Madame X so you then get a chance to read Exposed. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
