Cardeno C. has never written a story I didn’t love, and I really did love everything about “McFarland’s Farm”. What’s not to love? There are two sexy main characters, an idyllic setting, a misunderstanding or two, some amazing sex, and a perfect ending.
The story is relatively simple. Lucas is a partying, entitled, rich boy who angers his father by seducing and having sex with the head chef at one of his restaurants, so he tells him that he must go out to a farm owned by the man who provides the produce for those restaurants and stay for three months, or he’ll be cut off completely. Well, Lucas can’t have THAT now, can he? So, off he goes to Jared’s farm in Arizona. He turns up acting like the spoiled diva he is, and Lucas is so soft spoken, he tolerates it…for a little while.
Soon, sparks begin to fly as Lucas begins to actually enjoy his time helping Jared with the books for the farm and just spending time with Jared. It really takes off from there. What happens is quick. It has to be because it’s only a 25,000 word novella. It’s all ok, though. It feels right. I loved these two men together. They work hard and love hard. Their romance is sweet, and the sex is AMAZING! Cardeno C. really has a gift when it comes to sex scenes.
I won’t give anything else away. Let me just reiterate that I loved this story, and I think you will as well. It was the perfect way to spend an hour or two, and I was left smiling a mile wide. Definitely get this book
