We have the fabulous Erin Watt (as known as authors Elle Kennedy and Jen Frederick) with us today talk about cocktails and their characters. Sounds like something right up our alley.
Elle: Wait—we have to relate our characters to cocktails?? Guys! I don’t drink! I’ll have to defer to Jen on this one.
Jen: Easy peezy! If we’re thinking about our characters in terms of drinks, it’s obvious that these are the ones that best represent them. Let’s stick to our main characters….
Ella – Singe Malt Scotch, neat: She’s strong, no nonsense, and doesn’t think she needs anyone or anything to help her out. Can be found in sleazy strip clubs or a billionaire’s mansion.
Reed – Long Island Iced Tea: Strong and delicious, but you don’t notice the effect he’ll have on you right away. Too much and he’s dangerous…
Easton – A shot of absinthe: At first he’s believed to be more dangerous than he actually is, but in the end he’s completely harmless. Can still totally pique a girl’s interest, though.
Sebastian and Sawyer – The B-50’s: Most people can’t tell the difference between them, and can switch between them without knowing. Don’t even get us started on layers!
Gideon – Side Car: A little older, not around much anymore but still shows up from time to time. When he does show up, he looks delicious 😉
From strip clubs and truck stops to southern coast mansions and prep schools, one girl tries to stay true to herself.
These Royals will ruin you…
Ella Harper is a survivor—a pragmatic optimist. She’s spent her whole life moving from town to town with her flighty mother, struggling to make ends meet and believing that someday she’ll climb out of the gutter. After her mother’s death, Ella is truly alone.
Until Callum Royal appears, plucking Ella out of poverty and tossing her into his posh mansion among his five sons who all hate her. Each Royal boy is more magnetic than the last, but none as captivating as Reed Royal, the boy who is determined to send her back to the slums she came from.
Reed doesn’t want her. He says she doesn’t belong with the Royals.
He might be right.
Wealth. Excess. Deception. It’s like nothing Ella has ever experienced, and if she’s going to survive her time in the Royal palace, she’ll need to learn to issue her own Royal decrees.
Elle Kennedy
A New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author, Elle Kennedy grew up in the suburbs of Toronto, Ontario, and holds a B.A. in English from York University. From an early age, she knew she wanted to be a writer, and actively began pursuing that dream when she was a teenager.
Elle currently writes for various publishers. She loves strong heroines and sexy alpha heroes, and just enough heat and danger to keep things interesting!
Jen Frederick
Jen Frederick is the USA Today bestselling author of Unspoken, part of the Woodlands series, and Sacked, part of the Gridiron series. She is also the author of the Charlotte Chronicles and has had several books on the Kindle Top 100 list. She lives in the Midwest with a husband who keeps track of life’s details while she’s writing, a daughter who understands when Mom disappears into her office for hours at a time, and a rambunctious dog who does neither.
