Phoenix Reborn is the latest novella by JD Tyler about the Alpha Pack. Phoenix “Nix” Monroe has his mate, the only problem is that it’s the Noah, the cute male nurse that works at the compound. Nix has long denied having feelings for guys, and continues this with the rejection of his mate, going so far as to take hormones to suppress his wolf’s need for its mate.

I have liked this series from the beginning, and this is no different. This was a continuation of the prior books, with the appearance of the paranormal element that isn’t resolved, but is moved along with this one. Noah was like a breath of fresh air, and I felt bad for him when he was constantly rejected by Nix. The big issue with this was that it was a novella, so it felt like there was something missing because there wasn’t enough time to delve into the intricacies of the relationship. Overall this was a nice addition to the series, and I would say anyone whose read the rest will enjoy this novella.
