I didnβt know what to expect when I first saw this book. I knew of the character of Sophie Baston from the other Bennet series. She was not a nice person. To say that she was the token villainess that tried to break up our hero and heroine ( Walsh and Kerris) is an understatement. So for the life of me I couldnβt wrap my head around the idea of her getting her own book. But I was curious and I did enjoy the other books in this series so I gave it a try. And I am glad that I did.
I have to admit, I didnβt like Sophie at all in the previous books and going into the first few chapters my feelings werenβt changing for her at all. Β But then Trevor Bishop came into my kindle and if the old clichΓ© that all a man needs is a good woman then all Sophie needed was Trevor.
All through the first half of the book we see a little different side to Sophie and become more compassionate for her. By the end of the book I was Team Sophie and a lot of that had to do with Trevor. I couldnβt help but fall for Trevor he was just about the most supportive, loving and understanding book boyfriend anyone can ask for. And if Trevor saw something in Sophie, then I saw and felt it too.
Kudos to Kennedy for taking a character like Sophie Baston and taking her from someone I hated to someone who I could be admire and love.
I had the same feelings going it – wondering how on Earth she was going to be able to make Sophie likeable!
