This book picks up right where Mastered left off.  It is a great conclusion to Drake and Evangeline’s story.

Drake doesn’t know or really understand love or what it means – all he knows is that he will do anything to find Evangeline and bring her home.

Evangeline’s is hurt, broke and wants to forget – she is just trying to make enough money to be able to get back home and forget New York.  Of course, Drake and his team have other ideas and search for her and once they find her can they convince her to come back.  If she does come back is Drake going to change enough to make sure she stays.

What I loved a lot about this book, the way Drake and his team of Enforcers love Evangeline and will do anything for her.   The more the story went along I found myself loving them as much as the main characters.   The dialog between the men was smartly written and I loved they way the interacted with each other.  I also like Drake and Evangeline together overall – Evangeline truly takes her submissive role to heart and tries to please Drake at every turn.  Drake realizes that he can’t hide Evangeline forever and starts to appreciate her more by doing things with her outside the bedroom which I also thoroughly enjoyed.  I also enjoyed finally meeting Evangeline’s parents.

Were the story bogs down for me is in a few different areas, while there are hints throughout both books of Drake’s illegal activity I am still not sure what that is – its definitely big enough where it seems like he has 7 or 8 different bodyguards.  Which I also found a little confusing – there are so many.  While the author steers you towards two (Maddox and Silas) there are quite a few more that seemed to get lost in the shuffle.    We also never really get closure when it comes to Evangeline’s “friends”  they do have a scene but then we never get any type of resolution and with all that Evangeline goes through it seemed like a miss for me.  It would have been nice if at least 1 of them could have been there for her.

This being said overall I did enjoy Drake and Evangeline’s conclusion – the ending did have a great payoff that I really loved.  If you have read the first book please read this one as well.  You will enjoy it.
