LOVE IS ALWAYS INTOXICATING When it comes to feuds, the Tuckers and the Sawyers do it Texas-style! The legendary moonshiners have been doing battle for more than a century, and they're nowhere near ready to call a truce. Especially when Brandy Tucker, a self-taught chef, mixes up a brew that rivals the original-only to find the recipe's gone missing. And the culprit seems to be Tyler McCall, a professional bullrider as hot as the Lone Star sun, despite the Sawyer blood running through his veins.
IN THE LONE-STAR STATE Brandy is a sweet, sassy distraction Tyler doesn't need-especially not when he's preparing for a a competition that will either make or break his career. The more Brandy and Tyler cross paths with one another, the less they can can ignore the heat that sizzles between them. Should they give in to their fiery passions-even if they both risk getting burned? All it takes is one kiss to find out...
"Ms. Raye is adept at mixing humor with sizzling love scenes...an entertaining reading experience!"-A Romance Review

In Red-Hot Texas Nights, Ms. Raye brings us back to Rebel, TX and the Tucker sisters. This time we are spending time with middle sister, Brandy, as she attempts to save and expand her bakery. The burr under Brandyβs romantic saddle, is Tyler McCall, the black sheep cousin of the dreaded Sawyer family.
The set up between Brandy and Tucker was interesting. Both have reputations that they havenβt earned, but are a product of small town bias. Their interactions are steamy and gradually transition to friendly and then loving. It would have been nice if this process had gone just a smidge faster, there was a section in the middle of the book where the sexy time between the two almost felt repetitive.
Brandy and Tucker each also have their own subplots. For Brandy, itβs generating the cash needed to pay off a loan and expand her business while also dealing with an aggressive competitor. For Tucker, its finding his brother and making sure he gets to college. Their efforts bring them together and some of their best scenes revolve around their efforts.
Red-Hot Texas Nights was entertaining, but seemed to run a little long for me. I enjoyed watching Brandy and Tucker fall in love while also making sure the other aspects of their lives had happy endings. I even related to both of them on certain levels, but I there were several occasions where I found my attention wandering.
I am curious to see what happens with the third Tucker sister, so I will probably be back in Rebel again.
