The author of Just Say Yes is back with another sweet and sultry Strictly Business novel about working hard and falling harder into an unexpected romance...  Love doesn’t always follow the same schedule... Alex Walker doesn’t need a woman in his life. In fact, he doesn’t have time for one. Between his career in the FBI and the demands of being good father, romance is an unwanted distraction.    Likewise, Cassidy Mullen is fine on her own. The independent career woman has never had a husband in her plansβ€”forget about kids. But when her friend Alex gets into a bind with his ex over their daughter, Cass finds herself suddenly playing the part of Alex’s stable, child-loving fiancΓ©eβ€”and liking it a lot more than she’d care to admit.   Soon Alex and Cass can’t deny the real passion growing between them. But as fake affection turns into real love, Cass and Alex will have to make a choice: say β€œI Do” to their feelings or give up on happily-ever-after for good...

All it takes is one sentence from Cassidy Mullen and Alex Walker’s life goes from order to disorder in the blink of an eye. The ultimate public relations specialist Cass steps in to help Alex with his daughter. She tells his ex wife she is Alex’s fiance without talking to him about it first. Alex a FBI agent used to catching the worst criminals out there, lying to his daughter and ex wife puts him on edge. Cass’s meeting with her sisters to inform them of her engagement is the funniest response ever. “You’re marrying a man your own parents never met. Are you huffing glue? What the hell is wrong with you.” Alex and Cass have to now put on a fake engagement that is believable complete with all the wedding details and plans that go along with it. Alex and Cass were in a friends with benefits situation before this happened and were fine with that. Neither one is looking for the long term relationship. Alex’s daughter Nina loves spending time with Cass. As they spend time together they realize what started out as fake soon becomes real but can they get past their insecurities to make it last.
