If given the chance to go and find your one true book boyfriend love would you take it?
Well, if you wouldn’t or couldn’t you can go along for the ride and live vicariously through Emma Sheridan in Finding Fraser. Though the ride may be a little bumpy and irritating at best, it is still a ride.
Emma is at a place in her life where she feels she has nothing holding her back from finding her true love. No job, no boyfriend and no money. So she sells everything for a once in a lifetime chance to go to Scotland and find her very own true life book hero Jamie Fraser from Outlander.
The characters in this book were great and just added to the fun parts of the book.
I thought this book was going to be a self-discovery book of sorts but it was not. I mean it was a fun read but I felt very disappointed in Emma. Once she found what she thought she was looking for she was in the same boat life wise as she was when she was in America. Sometimes pretty packages are great to look at but once you unwrap it and see what is really inside you make the choice to either love it for what it really is or see what it is really not. Her Jamie Fraser was not what the real Jaime Fraser embodied in the Outlander series. And she was ok with that. Seriously? She was 29 yrs old and it sometimes felt like she had the insecurities of a teenager.
Self-discovery this book was not. Well it wasn’t until the very end but we all saw that coming. I would have liked to see her really discover herself half way through the book. So for that I give Finding Fraser 3 Cocktails.
