When desire is this strong, there’s no running from it.
Alec Harper has had a thing for Preston Gentry since high school. The one taste he got of the man only whet his appetite, now he has the opportunity to slake his need and get over the jerk. Preston isn’t walking away, though, and Alec can’t hold back. Their lust drives them into each other’s arms, but something hotter, and purer has developed beneath the surface. And it’s something neither Preston nor Alec can let go.
As a college football coach, Preston can’t afford to be gay. His job is on the line, but his heart knows what it wants. Being with Alec means he’ll be outed and he could lose his job. But some things are more important than pleasing the public…like love…

“Can’t Hide My Love” is an adorable little story, and I enjoyed it very much.  The characters are sweet and sexy.  The plot is topical, and the sex is amazing!

Preston and Alec went to high school together.  Alec is gay, and he’s lusted after Preston forever. Preston is the star football player and dates girls. One day, at a graduation party, Preston and Alec have an encounter in a public restroom.  Preston runs out on Alec right after, leaving Alec hurt and embarrassed.  Fast forward twelve years. Alec is a new professor at a small university.  He’s hardened his heart and personality, and he’s not terribly
well liked by his students.  One in particular is a football player who will not be able to play if he can’t get a good grade in Alec’s class.  He’s not done the work, and Alec isn’t feeling charitable.  One evening, the football coach comes to his office to try to convince Alec to pass the player.  Alec is alarmed to discover the coach is none other than Preston!
That’s all you’re getting from me.  The rest of the book is a treat.  Alec is sweet and vulnerable and tries to cover it with a tough exterior.  Preston is conflicted about his sexuality and his feelings for Alec.  This is a very short book, so things happen rather quickly.  The pair go from virtual strangers to a couple right away, but it feels right.  There are time constraints due to the length of the book, so it has to pack a punch in the time it’s been
given.  The emotions are right there in the open between the men as each has to deal with their own hangups.  When the two of them come together sexually, it’s nuclear.  Preston’s only gay experience was that day at the party.  He wants Alec so much, but he’s scared.  Alec wants to be careful with Preston, and he’s gentle in his lovemaking.  Once Preston realizes how great the sex is, he’s hooked and wants it all.
Everything wraps up with a satisfying end.  There’s even a bit of a surprise.  I recommend “Can’t Hide My Love” to any MM fan who is looking for a nice way to spend an hour or two enjoying a good read.
