Oh my God, but this story is so CUTE!! First of all, I love L.D. Blakeley and her stories. She writes delightful characters in realistic settings. She uses humor perfectly. I like a story that doesn’t take itself too seriously, but I don’t want a farce. There’s a fine line, and Ms. Blakeley walks it nicely.
Parker needs a date. If he doesn’t have one by Valentine’s Day, his sister is going to fix him up, and he absolutely does not want that to happen. He posts an online profile on a popular dating service, but nothing is happening. His best friend, Seth, thinks it all has to do with his profile pic, so he brings in the big guns. Seth’s cousin, Lane, is an internet sensation…the man behind the Manbun video.
What follows is awesome. Lane and Parker are charming characters, and I fell head over heels in love with both of them. They’re funny, sweet, and sexy, and they make the perfect couple. They have fun together in and out of the bedroom. Speaking of the bedroom…whew! The sex between the two of them is HOT! There is a teeny, tiny bit of angst, but it’s not overwhelming. It’s just enough to move the story along. A misunderstanding is quickly resolved, and Lane and Parker can move on to their HEA (I don’t think that’s giving too much away.).
I highly recommend “Parker’s Profile”. It’s a light and sunny read…only an hour or two, but that time is very well spent. You’ll really enjoy this one.
