From bestselling author Opal Carew comes her next erotic romance, Nailed.

This is my first book by Ms. Carew and I picked it up because it sounded cute.
The Billionaire who wants a woman who is resistant, he uses the carrot of helping her business to get the marriage he wants β what could go wrong, right?
I will admit that I didnβt go into Nailed expecting a griping, emotional read. I was looking for a fun, cute, entertaining read. The book that I got was a bit jumbled, the story couldnβt seem to make up its mind between sexy/romantic and emotional/angst.
I bounced between liking River and Kane and being annoyed with them. Conflicts new and old were just swept away and never really dealt with as their relationship progressed. When the two finally do seem to make real emotional progress, a wrench gets thrown into the mix that leaves the ending of the book a little flat.
Overall, this was an okay read. It was quick and fun, but I felt like a lot of potential got left on the table in terms of conflicts and emotional avenues that could have been explored.
