Avery Bardot steps off the plane in Rome, looking for a fresh start. She’s left behind a soon-to-be ex-husband in Boston and plans to spend the summer with her best friend Daisy, licking her woundsβ€”and perhaps a gelato or two. But when her American-expat friend throws her a welcome party on her first night, Avery’s thrown for a loop when she sees a man she never thought she’d see again: Italian architect Marcello Bianchi.
Marcello was the manβ€”the one who got away. And now her past is colliding with her present, a present where she should be mourning the loss of her marriage andβ€”hey, that fettuccine is delicious! And so is Marcello…
Slipping easily into the good life of summertime in Rome, Avery spends her days exploring a city that makes art historians swoon, and her nights swooning over her unexpected what was old is new again romance. It’s heady, it’s fevered, it’s wanton, and it’s crazy. But could this really be her new life? Or is it just a temporary reprieve before returning to the land of twin-set cardigans and crustless sandwiches?
A celebration of great friendship, passionate romance, and wonderful food, Roman Crazy is a lighthearted story of second chances and living life to the fullest.

Wow, what a fun ride this book is!Β  It’s got everything, hot guy, beautiful girl, great humor and as a reader, you get to take a trip to Rome and see the countryside of Italy, what more can you ask for.

Avery walks in on her husband having sex with another woman and her life changes forever.Β  Married into an influential family who’s motto is to look the other way she knows that she can’t do that; after talking to her best friend who lives in Rome she knows that now is the perfect time to run away and sees what else life has to offer.Β  Her first night in Rome Avery is shocked to see the boy she feels in love with 9 years ago now a man who is angry that he never heard from her.Β  Now in the most romantic city, Avery faces the man who as a boy showed her what love and life really is and the one she walked away from.

Marcello sees Avery after all these years and doesn’t know what to think.Β  He does know that he wants to find out more about what happened all those years ago and in the process, he finds that the love he felt for Avery never really stopped.

I first have to say, Marcello, wow, wow, wow!Β  He is what everyone thinks of when you think of a hot Italian man. Β The writers do a fantastic job taking you on Avery’s journey with Marcello as your guide.Β  I really felt like I was there with them exploring the back streets of Rome, eating fantastic food and falling in love with the city along with Avery.Β  Told from Avery’s POV’s this journey is really about her and her growth finding herself and taking accountability for her actions now and all those years ago.Β  I loved the secondary characters especially Avery’s best friend and Marcello’s family.Β  I did have a few issues with some of the pacings but other than that I loved this book.
