I was excited to read this story because I have enjoyed reading all of Olivia Cunning’s rock star books. She writes sexy, funny stories with well developed characters and colorful secondary characters. This story is about three people who fall in love and try to navigate a threesome.
Sparks fly when Trey, Ethan and Reagan tour together. Trey is the sexy lead guitarist for Sinners rock band, Reagan is the gorgeous new guitarist for Exodus End, the backup band for Sinners and Ethan is a dark and brooding bodyguard working with the two bands. Trey, Ethan and Reagan are friends and lovers and enjoy spending time together. Unfortunately, they worry about what others think about their unorthodox relationship and also wonder how long their relationship will last. They have a lot of chemistry and it is obvious how much they care about each other and their relationship goes through a lot of changes as they each work through their insecurities. Trey is comfortable with who he is and isn’t afraid to admit that he is involved in a threesome but Reagan and Ethan are not as confident. They have a steamy, satisfying, sexual relationship and they all have fun together. The biggest problem is what everyone else thinks about their relationship and how they each deal with it.
Many characters from previous books make appearances and it was fun catching up with them. This is a standalone but it is easier to understand and connect with all the characters if you have read the others books. Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed with this one. I enjoyed the story, but I think it could have been told in half the time.
