From the author of the Masters Unleashed series, Sparrow Beckett revs things up with two lovers on a collision course in the first Masters of Adrenaline novel. Nothing gives Addison Kennedy a rush like stealing cars. The Lexus was the perfect target, but before she can get its engine purring, she's cold-cocked unconscious. When she comes to, she finds herself on a bed with a blonde, tattooed god standing over her. Fox Larson is shocked to discover the thief he knocked out is actually a hot girl. Bringing her home may not have been the smartest move, but he wasn’t about to leave an unconscious and defenseless woman in a parking garage. Besides, if she’s part of an auto theft crew infringing on his territory, he needs to pump her for information. However, Addison has personal drive that won’t be denied and she’s desperate to prove Fox’s group needs her skills. Submitting to his kinks in the bedroom is a hot yet complicated bonus. When a big job goes bad, and Addison finally gets her chance, will she succeed in stealing his thunder?

This is my first book by Sparrow Beckett and there are some parts I enjoyed and others I was not too sure about.
Addison is trying to raise money and quickly. She is also looking for some excitement so she combines these two needs and starts to steal cars. When she tries to steal a very high-end Lexus she is coldcocked in the face by another car thief Fox Larson who steals cars with his family for a living. When Addison comes to in Fox’s bed she practically begs him to teach her everything he knows and allow her to become part of his team. When he also teaches her about BDSM she ends up learning more from him than she bargained for, now if she can just not fall for the thief she will be ok.
Fox is blown away with what Addison knows and what she is willing to try both in and out of the bedroom. When a rival group starts to threaten him, his family, his operation and most importantly Addison he needs to make some hard decisions about his life. Is he willing to walk away from this girl who can be everything he needs?
I first have to say I loved the stealing and the action that is throughout the story. How we are introduced to Addison and Fox was fantastic and a lot of fun to read. As the action progresses through the book the tension for me keeps getting amped up and I love every word. Where I had a hard time was with Addison herself. I never got a clear picture of what she looked like or understood why she made the choice to steal cars, to begin with. The reason behind it didn’t really ring true for me. The author does a great job describing what Fox looks like and his age but for some reason doesn’t do the same thing for Addison which happens to be a pet peeve of mine. Addison in some cases acts very young but I had no context to understand why. The BDSM scenes were well written and definitely hot but if there is no connection with the characters I have a hard time getting into it. We did meet some great secondary characters, especially Fox’s brother and cousin who I am happy to say there will be books about which I looking forward to. I just wish I cared more about these characters in the meantime.
