He wants to dominate her senses—and her heart…
Quinton Ross has always been a thrill-seeker—so it’s no surprise that he’s drawn to extremes in the bedroom and at his BDSM club, Blasphemy, where he creates sense-depriving scenarios that blow submissives’ minds. Now if he could just find one who needs the rush as much as him…
Cassia Locke hasn’t played at Blasphemy since a caving accident left her with a paralyzing fear of the dark. Ready to fight, she knows just who to ask for help—the hard-bodied, funny-as-hell Dom she’d always crushed on—and once stood up.
Quinton is shocked and a little leery to see Cassia, but he can’t pass up the chance to dominate the alluring little sub this time. Introducing her to sensory deprivation becomes his new favorite obsession, and watching her fight fear is its own thrill. But when doubt threatens to send her running again, Quinton must find a way to master her senses—and her heart.

Mastering Her Senses is the second book in Laura Kaye’s Blasphemy series. Two years ago Cassia Locke was in an accident that left her afraid of the dark. Tired of being afraid after she has tried everything to overcome her fear, she heads back to the BDSM club Blasphemy. She hopes that she can conquer her fear here where she always felt most comfortable. However, Cass has a massive panic attack and ends up in the arms of Quinton Ross, the Dom she stood up two years ago. Quinton loves to play sensory games and he could be the solution to Cass’s problem. He has never gotten over Cassia standing him up but once he hears her story, he wants to help her. They agree to a no strings attached relationship.
There were a few things I adored about this book. Quinton and Cassia were beyond likable. You really were rooting for them and loved every scene they shared. What I didn’t love about this book was the lack of a climax or plot twist. I wanted a bit more angst. With Cassia’s backstory (that I don’t want to give away), I felt that Mrs. Kaye could have given us a heck of a plot twist to bring these two together.
Overall, this was an enjoyable easy read and a nice addition to the series. We surely will catch up with Quinton and Cassia in the next book as well as the rest of the gang from Blasphemy.
