Hartwell, Delawareβthe perfect place to get away from it all, and find what you never knew you neededβ¦
Bailey Hartwell has many reasons to feel contentβher successful business, a close circle of friends, and her steady boyfriendβ¦even if their romance feels staid after ten years without a serious commitment. The only challenge in her life comes in the form of sexy businessman Vaughn Tremaine. She thinks the ex-New Yorker acts superior and that he considers her a small-town nobody. But when Baileyβs blindsided by a betrayal, sheβs shocked to discover Vaughn is actually a decent guy.
Vaughn admires Baileyβs free spirit, independence, and loyalty. As his passion for her has grown, his antagonism toward her has only worsened. Every little thing Bailey does seduces him. But when Vaughnβs painful emotional past makes him walk away in fear he will hurt her, it opens an old wound in Bailey, and she uncharacteristically retreats.
Once Vaughn begins to realize heβs made the biggest mistake of his life, he has no choice but to fight like heβs never fought before to convince Bailey that the love theyβve found together only comes around once in a lifetime.

I loved returning to Hartβs boardwalk.
Vaughn and Bailey adventure continues from The One Real Thing. Bailey has found herself suddenly single and what she thought her feelings for Vaughn were more of the hate kind, she is now seeing him so much differently. Vaughn has always been drawn to Bailey and now that she is free he just wants to keep his distance even more. His reasoning really didnβt make sense to me but, in hindsight it wasnβt your usual reasoning we see our heroβs denying themselves the love they need.
All our friends from the board walk are back. Though it seemed a little overwhelming at times for me to keep up. Only because I kept wondering if this character was going to be the next featured in the series. Though I am hoping that it will be a certain someone who is so shy. But I think I would love her story to be the last. They always save the best for last.
Either way I will be returning to the boardwalk as soon as it is available.
