Sparks fly between a misunderstood New York socialite and a cynical divorce lawyer in this lively standalone rom-com from the USA Today bestselling author of Blurred Lines and Love Story.
Pampered heiress Georgianna Watkins has a party-girl image to maintain, but all the shopping and clubbing is starting to feel a little bit hollow—and a whole lot lonely. Though Georgie would never admit it, the highlights of her week are the mornings when she comes home at the same time as her uptight, workaholic neighbor is leaving to hit the gym and put in a long day at the office. Teasing him is the most fun Georgie’s had in years—and the fuel for all her naughtiest daydreams.
Celebrity divorce attorney Andrew Mulroney doesn’t have much time for women, especially spoiled tabloid princesses who spend more time on Page Six than at an actual job. Although Georgie’s drop-dead gorgeous, she’s also everything Andrew resents: the type of girl who inherited her penthouse instead of earning it. But after Andrew caps one of their predawn sparring sessions with a surprise kiss—a kiss that’s caught on camera—all of Manhattan is gossiping about whether they’re a real couple. And nobody’s more surprised than Andrew to find that the answer just might be yes.

WALK OF SHAME is just the right blend of everything I love in a book. It is a delightfully funny, feel good story.  It has great writing, witty dialogue, memorable characters and the story immediately drew me and I never wanted it to end.

Georgiana (Georgie) Wilkins is a socialite.  She doesn’t work, she just enjoys life. She stays out all night and sleeps during the day.  She spends her time shopping, having her hair done, working on charity events and going to clubs with her friends. She is fun loving, has a bubbly personality and she gets along with everyone.  She is the exact opposite of Andrew Mulroney.  Andrew is an uptight attorney who lives in the same upscale building as Georgie. Every morning they pass each other as Andrew is leaving for work and Georgie is coming home from another fun night on the town.

Andrew is the most famous divorce attorney in the city.  He is also a workaholic and follows a rigorous schedule.  He sneers at Georgie’s frivolous lifestyle and Georgie loves to say things to get under Andrew’s skin.  It is highly entertaining as they lobby snarky remarks as they pass each other every morning.

Andrew thinks Georgie is self-indulgent and useless yet, he can’t help but notice how attractive she is.  There is a lot of sexual tension and verbal foreplay between Andrew and Georgie and they are confused by what they are feeling.  Andrew is super smart, formal and hard working.  He is the total opposite of Georgie’s friendly, relaxed demeanor.  Andrew has never met anyone like Georgie and isn’t sure how to act around her or what to say.  Even though they are the exact opposite, they are good for each other.  Georgie helps Andrew loosen up and Andrew helps Georgie take life more seriously. It is fun watching these two together and I also enjoyed the entertaining secondary characters.  Perfection!
