Shayla Perkins isn’t the kind of girl who makes the same mistake twice, especially when it comes to Sean β€œStitch” Molina. So when he gives her the world’s biggest rejection, that’s itβ€”she’s done. Until the sexy, silent, unavailable Sean makes Shay a very personal offer. Of course, it still doesn’t mean he’s interested in her. Or does it?

Sean has done things in life. Bad things. And he’s paid the price. All he wants now is to make up for his past by doing good in the present. And no one deserves more good than Shay. Beautiful on the inside and out, Shay is the kind of woman who should be cared for and protectedβ€”especially from a man like Sean. He’s tried to keep his feelings for her in check, but a single, reckless impulse pulls them closer than ever before.

Soon the two are sharing their biggest dreams and satisfying their deepest desires. But what will happen if the only way to truly give one another want they want most . . . is to let each other go?

This is the third book in the Dirty Deeds series and it is Β a standalone. It is an emotional, serious, slow burn love story. Shay and Sean a.k.a. Stitch work together in a restaurant. Each of them is struggling to make a better life for themselves. They are meant to be together but it takes Stitch a while to accept that he finally deserves something good in his life. Shay has dreams of a better life but Stitch is just surviving. Shay is exactly what Stitch needs, it just takes him a while to realize it.

Stitch is tormented and has a ton of baggage from his past. Β He is distant, snarly, has low self esteem and doesn’t expect much from life. Most people are put off by his tattoos and his big, intimidating presence. Β Stitch is attracted to Shay but knows he isn’t good enough for her. Β Stitch is a sympathetic character, he hasn’t had an easy life. No one has ever cared about him. Β I was rooting for Stitch because underneath his gruff exterior, is a good guy. Β He isn’t sure what to think of Shay; he has never met anyone like her.

Shay couldn’t be more different from Stitch, but somehow they work. Shay embraces life, loves to be around people and has a positive attitude. Β She is working two jobs because she dreams of opening her own hair salon one day. Β Shay has a big heart and she knows Stitch is hurting and she wants to help him. Β Something about Stitch calls to Shay. Β I enjoyed this heartwarming story.
