I always enjoy everything Jeannie Moon writes. She knows how to write a feel good story with flawed characters that are easy to connect with. YOU SEND ME is the second book in the Compass Cove series and is a refreshing, emotional journey. Β Β
This story takes place in small town Compass Cove, where everyone knows your business and people love to gossip. Β Nick and Jordan agree to pretend they are engaged so Jordanβs father will not worry about her. Her father is dying from cancer and is concerned about her being alone when he is gone. The strong attraction between Nick and Jordan, grows as they get to know each other. However, they each try to hold back their feelings because they are cautious with their heart. Jordan is just getting over a cheating fiance and Nick is recovering from injuries he sustained while in the military. Jordan is afraid to trust again and tries to keep an emotional distance from Nick, but each day itβs a little harder. Β She wishes Nick would open up to her but he has a hard time sharing his war experiences with anyone.
Even though Nick and Jordan immediately connect, they are emotionally wounded and are afraid to show their feelings. Until now, they have only been surviving day to day and had nothing to look forward to. When they are together, they feel safe and content. While they dance around each other, everyone one around them can tell they are meant to be together. Can Nick and Jordan learn to trust each other?
