Blog Tour Review: Love Online by Penelope Ward

Penelope Ward once again took something most would find shady and managed to find a love story in it.

Ryder and Eden definitely came from opposite worlds, but their unconventional meeting and conversations led to them building a friendship without the trappings one would find through a traditional date or casual meeting.  They could use the anonymity to be more real and honest about parts of themselves than they normally would.  It gave them a very solid foundation to start with.  But then things changed…

I applaud Ryder.  I don’t think I could personally be that understanding…even if it was the way he met Eden.   He didn’t go caveman jealous, even when he was.  He understood why she was doing what she was and didn’t push his need for her career change until it made sense.

Eden was brave in her own right.  I don’t think I could build a relationship with a patron the way she did with Ryder.  It would feel too icky to me.  But there she was giving him the benefit of the doubt and falling for him.  She didn’t let life beat her down and easily grabbed for the one thing she wanted when Ryder was in front of her.

This wasn’t as angsty or super sexy like some of the author’s other books, but it’s a good read and a perfect beach read to end the summer.
