Release Blitz: The Executive by K I Lynn

This is my first read by Ms Lynn and it won’t be the last!

When we first meet Ivy and Lincoln, I thought we were headed into a variation of the wealthy boss/assistant trope. And….. there is that, but this story is has many more layers than just his wealth and their working relationship.

I loved Ivy as a leading lady. She has a good sense of who she is, I even loved how she described herself – to paraphrase “I could do it, but I don’t want to. I am an orchestrator, I don’t want to be a leader.” She is smart and feisty, but also has a soft, caring side that makes her easy to relate to. Lincoln is an interesting hero. He has a lot going on behind the scenes and some of those things are held close to the vest. Seeing Ivy soften him and peel his layers back made both characters more appealing.

Well written with just a few twists and turns, The Executive is a book that I enjoyed very much. I definitely want to go back and read more of Ms Lynn’s back list.
