This was an interesting premise and fun story packaged in a quick read.
With the length of the story, we don’t get a deep dive into who Nic and Elle are, but we see enough that I really like both of them and found myself rooting for them to find a happily ever after.
I appreciated the fact that even though Nic’s profession may have been a bit unsavory, he worked to be a good guy and follow a moral code. How he and Elle worked to encourage each other to reach for their dreams was another plus of the story for me.
The supporting cast is small, with just a few key players that we don’t get to know too well. I am curious to learn more about Nic’s former coworkers as their books come out. I am also hopeful that we may get glimpses of Nic and Elle’s evolving story too.
