When you’ve read a series of books, there are times when it’s a secondary character’s turn center stage and you wonder if you’ll like them. That was Zara Stone (and her sister Zoe) for me – after meeting them in the previous “something so” books, I just wasn’t sure how I would feel about her being a romantic lead.
Ms Madison surprised me by creating a character that I not only liked, but enjoyed and found myself rooting for. Evan may be the sweetest of of the hockey bad boys since the original Cooper.
From an interesting meet cute, to a slight slow burn, and a couple of mini crises, this was a fun and entertaining read. I liked Zara and Evan together and appreciated how the extended Grant/Stone family was woven in as a strong secondary cast. This is a book that would be a stronger read if read as part of the Something So series, but could be read as a stand-alone as well.
After a few hints being dropped, I am curious to see Zoe’s story next.

You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or
