Lawyer Cathleen O'Dowd wants to break free from her boring image. Widowed young, she's toed the good-girl line but now wants a little fun and laughter in her days…and nights. Living in a small town, though, she can't do anything that would tarnish her professional reputation.
Mac Frayne's tragic past has turned him into a sullen loner. In town to write a book on the city's founder, his plan is to get it done, then head home to his solitary existence.
When circumstances force them to work together, their opposing personalities clash, but the sexual attraction between them is palpable.
Can a simple affair with an end date be just the thing to brighten up their lives?

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this sweet, heartwarming story about two lost souls who find each other. Mac and Cathy experienced heartbreak when they unexpectedly lost their spouses. They are just existing and have very little joy in their lives. When Mac and Cathy unexpectedly find each other, they are surprised by the spark between them, because neither one of them have dated and never expected to find love and happiness.Β  They are both unassuming, down to earth and honest and they fill each other needs. They have baggage from the past and are having a difficult time moving forward.Β  Β

Kathy is an attorney who has lived her entire life in her small town of Heaven.Β  Mac, a writer is in town to write a book about the town’s founder. In some areas of their lives Mac and Kathy are confident, but when it comes to intimate relationships, they are lost. They have both given up on love or finding someone.Β  Mac is charmingly unaware of his attractiveness and Cathy has dedicated her life to helping others. They both deserve to find happiness.Β

Peggy Jaeger writes a beautifully descriptive, well written story with unforgettable and realistic characters. This is the second book in the series A Match Made in Heaven and I can’t wait to read more.Β
