β€œThe word charm is pretty much synonymous with Lauren Layne.” β€”Hypable
From New York Times bestselling author Lauren Layne, the β€œqueen of witty dialogue” (Rachel Van Dyken, New York Times bestselling author), comes the final installment of the Central Park Pact series, a heartfelt and laugh-out-loud romantic comedy that’s perfect for fans of Sally Thorne and Christina Lauren.
Can guys and girls ever be just friends? According to Audrey Tate and Clarke West, absolutely. After all, they’ve been best friends since childhood without a single romantic entanglement. Clarke is the charming playboy Audrey can always count on, and he knows that the ever-loyal Audrey will never not play along with his strategy for dodging his matchmaking motherβ€”announcing he’s already engaged…to Audrey.
But what starts out as a playful game between two best friends turns into something infinitely more complicated, as just-for-show kisses begin to stir up forbidden feelings. As the faux wedding date looms closer, Audrey and Clarke realize that they can never go back to the way things were, but deep down, do they really want to?

Marriage on Madison Avenue is a clever and witty story with charming characters. It has great dialogue and I especially loved all the banter between the characters. This is a carefree and fun story about two best friends who pretend they are engaged and along the way, realize they are in love with each other.

Clark and Audrey have been best friends since childhood and decide a fake engagement will solve some of their problems. As they spend time pretending to be in love, they discover they really do love each other. Everyone around them seems to realize this before Clark and Audrey do and they all wait and watch as Clark and Audrey slowly discover how much they care about each other.

Audrey comes from a wealthy family and has lived a pampered life. Unfortunately, her wealth didn’t insulate her from being hurt by a cheater. She has never recovered and finds it hard to trust again. Clark loves his privileged playboy lifestyle but he also has been hurt in the past. Clark and Audrey help each other overcome their issues and are good for each other. I enjoyed Clark and Audrey and all the other characters involved in this engaging story.Β
