USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde returns to the Royal Houses series with House of Curses: the story of Kerrigan Argon, a half-Fae, half-human as she seeks her place in an unforgiving world filled with magic, mayhem, and romance. Perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas, Holly Black, and V.E. Schwab.
Against all odds, Kerrigan Argon passed her dragon training. She’s now an official member of the Society. Everything should be well. But somehow, nothing is.
Her dark prince, Fordham Ollivier, has disappeared in hopes to beak his curse.
An unwanted wedding looms in her future.
And the council election draws ever nearer. An election that she’s been unceremoniously nominated for.
If all of that wasn’t enough, the Red Masks, an anti-half Fae, anti-human terrorist organization, are gaining ground. All because they have a spy inside the mountain, inside the Society itself.
Someone is leading these monsters.
And Kerrigan is determined to stop them at all costs.

I had been looking forward to this installment of the Royal Houses series and it didn’t disappoint. Kerrigan, whether she thought so or not, has proven she’s worth all the trouble she gets into. She what the society and the country needs to right the wrongs that were done to the humans and half-fae. This part of the story proves that.
Kerrigan is now a member of the society and very quickly discovers she’s been nominated to the council. While she tries to navigate those waters, she’s desperate (equally so) to rid herself of Marsh and to find Ford. Her desperation leads to the man she loves and to someone who is going to start unraveling those hard-kept secrets Kerrigan has been trying to figure out.
A lot happens in this book and I don’t want to give anything away, but we are starting to understand who all the players are. Our heroine and hero have a lot they are going to have to figure out, but if the determination they’ve shown so far is any indication, these two will go to the ends of the earth for each other and make things right.
